In danger right now?
This website cannot send anyone to you. These buttons connect you to people who can. On a phone, one tap dials.

A real panic button
A website button cannot dispatch help. If you want a panic button that does, use an app built for it with a 24/7 response centre behind it, for example Namola (South African, free tier, sends your GPS position to responders), or the panic feature in your armed-response company's app if you have one. Set it up before you need it.
This site has no commercial relationship with any app or company named here.
Not an emergency, but you need someone to talk to
0800 428 428GBV Command Centre (government, 24/7), or SMS 'help' to 31531*134*7355#TEARS Foundation (free USSD, any phone)0861 322 322Lifeline South Africa
Before it happens: live location, phone SOS, pepper spray, running and taxi rules → Stay safe
If you think you are being followed
- Change direction and head for people and light, a garage, a shop, a security booth, a house with lights on. Not home, if it means leading someone there.
- Call 10111 or 112 while you walk. Say where you are first.
- Share your live location with someone (button above) and keep the call open.
- Do not run or exercise alone in the Rhodesfield / R21 area for now: SAPS's own advice since 12 September. Go in groups, in daylight, on busy roads.
