Give a tip to the police
This page does not collect tips. A tip typed into a website goes nowhere; a tip given to the task team can lead to an arrest that stands up in court. Everything below is here to make that phone call easier.

Official police appeals
If SAPS releases an identikit, a CCTV image, a vehicle description or a description of a person, it will appear here exactly as released, with the SAPS link, nothing else, from nowhere else.
None so far. As of 2026-09-15, SAPS has not released any description, image or identikit. Any picture or description of a "suspect" you see online did not come from the police.
Before you call, what helps most
Why these things and not others: how serial cases actually get solved, survivors, footage, a plate and a time.
- When and where, as exactly as you can. Date, time, road, landmark. If it was near one of the discovery sites, say which.
- What you saw, not what you think it means. A vehicle (colour, type, anything on the plate), a person's clothing, a direction of travel, a sound. Leave the conclusions to them.
- Your name and number if you are willing, investigators can follow up. If not, use Crime Stop or the MySAPS app and stay anonymous.
- Camera footage. If you or your business has CCTV, a dashcam or a doorbell camera near any site, do not delete it. Tell the task team you have it; they will collect it properly. Footage handed to a website is useless as evidence.
- Do not confront anyone. Do not post names or photos of people online. Both can put you in danger and can destroy the case against the real perpetrator.

If you were on any of these roads around those dates and saw something, anything, that is exactly what the tip line is for.
Employers and businesses near the sites
The R21 corridor is lined with logistics yards, hotels, airport contractors, workshops and warehouses. Olifantsfontein and KwaThema have factories and depots. Someone employs the person police are looking for, or drives past the sites every day. This is what investigators typically ask employers for, and it goes to the task team, never to this site.
- Preserve your records now. Gate and access-control logs, vehicle-tracker data, timesheets, fuel cards and CCTV from 13–16 July, 22–25 August, and 1–15 September. Systems overwrite; tell your IT or security provider to stop the overwrite for those dates today.
- Unexplained absence or lateness on or after the discovery dates, especially for staff whose work or commute uses the R21 service roads, Rhodesfield, Olifantsfontein or KwaThema.
- Injuries, scratches to the face, hands or forearms, around those dates, with an explanation that did not sit right.
- A vehicle that was cleaned unusually thoroughly, had seats or mats replaced, or was suddenly kept elsewhere; company vehicles signed out at odd hours.
- Women's belongings, clothing, a phone, running gear, a bag, that do not belong where they were found.
- Do not confront, suspend, or investigate anyone yourself. Call W/O Manyike on 082 465 7249 and let the task team decide what it means. A wrong guess, handled badly, can end an innocent employee's life in this country, and handled properly, a right one ends a series.

If you think it might be someone you know
In many series, the first call came from a wife, a mother, a brother, a friend, someone who noticed the dates lining up, a car being cleaned at midnight, a temper, an absence, and could not un-see it. That call is the hardest one on this page, and it is the one that most often works.
- You can do it without giving your name. Crime Stop 08600 10111 and the MySAPS app take anonymous tips; you will not be asked who you are. If you want investigators to be able to reach you, W/O Manyike on 082 465 7249.
- What to say: the person's movements on the discovery dates (13–16 July, 22–25 August, 1–15 September), the vehicle they use, any injuries, anything they said, anything you found. You do not need to be sure. You need to be honest about what you saw.
- Your safety comes first. Do not confront them. Do not tell them you called. If you are not safe at home, the GBV Command Centre (0800 428 428, 24/7) can connect you to a shelter; the Emergency page has the numbers.
- Do not post it. Not on Facebook, not in a WhatsApp group, not to this site. A post warns them, endangers you, and can make evidence inadmissible. A phone call does none of those.
- If you are wrong, the police will find that out quietly and nothing happens to anyone. If you are right and you say nothing, someone else's daughter is next.
The Unabomber was caught in 1996 because his brother recognised his writing and went to the FBI through a lawyer. He was terrified of being wrong and of what it would do to his family. He was right, and it stopped.
Missing someone?
Two of the women have not been publicly identified. If a woman you know has been missing from the East Rand since June 2026, report it at your nearest police station and ask that the Kempton Park task team be informed, or call W/O Manyike directly on 082 465 7249.
